The Sisterhood of The Outdoors Announces WEATHERBY SPONSORSHIP

Empowering The Next Generation Lady Hunter!
Chatsworth GA (June 29, 2018– The Sisterhood of The Outdoors™, a woman-owned company offering guided hunting and fishing trips to women all over the U.S., today announced WEATHERBY®, Inc. as the official rifle sponsor for all big game hunts as well as their annual youth antelope hunt in the fall of 2018.
Headlining the sponsorship is the WEATHERBY Vanguard® Camilla™ rifle, known for its fit tailored to female shooters. “We strive to create the best possible experience for our hunters, and shooting the WEATHERBY Camilla offers exactly that,” said President of The Sisterhood of the Outdoors, Amy Ray. “Our hunters experience the extreme quality and accuracy of the Camilla in the field. Designed by women, for women, the Camilla fits women exactly as a rifle should while providing the confidence of SUB-MOA accuracy,” Ray added.
“The Sisterhood of the Outdoors specializes in taking new and experienced hunters on dynamic hunts all over the U.S.,” said Ray, “and this year, the WEATHERBY Camilla will be with us as we hunt cow elk, mule deer, and antelope. Taking women hunting is our passion and there’s nothing we get more excitement from than being present for their first shot and to share in our guests’ successes. We’re driven to mentor and teach the next generation of lady hunters and pride ourselves in equipping them with the best products,” she said.
“The WEATHERBY Camilla is the perfect choice for our young ladies’ antelope hunt. Each year we take four young ladies ages 12 to 18 on a youth antelope hunt,” Ray said. “This particular hunt introduces young ladies to their first big game spot and stalk hunts, and is made possible through stellar partners like WEATHERBY.”
According to Ray, “The future of hunting depends on us. There is a lot required to create a new hunter, and we’re poised to be there for anyone on that journey. Having the best rifle for women creates an experience to last a lifetime. We believe personal interaction is key to recruitment and retention, and we look forward to personally sharing the Camilla rifle with our hunters. While having a successful hunt is always our goal, the best way to improve success on our hunts is to put a Camilla rifle into the hands of our hunters and have them experience its amazing quality and accuracy first-hand.”
“The Sisterhood of the Outdoors provides more than a guided hunt designed for women, we create an experience for them. One that ignites a lifelong flame and encourages confidence,” Ray added.

About WEATHERBY:
Over the last 73 years, we have learned exactly what performance and craftsmanship look like together. It’s not a new concept; the fit and finish is just as important as the performance and function, but it does seem to be one that has been forgotten to make way for lower prices and higher margins. We think a firearm should feel even better after decades of use, not be a disposable tool that is easily replaced in just a season or two.
The Camilla was designed by women for women. It features a shortened 13” length of pull, slender forearm, a slimmer grip with a gentle palm swell, and a higher comb for optimal scope-eye alignment. The recoil pad is special with an ergonomic cant to next into the way a woman’s shoulder is built.
